About this image

This was my first experiment at separating close double stars using techniques and kit I would normally use for planetary imaging.  I had planned to use a 2xBarlow and gradually search out closer and closer doubles until I reached my scope's Dawes limit.  Unfortunately the atmosphere had other ideas and nothing was steady enough to record that way.  In the end I used my scope at its native f/10 and managed three nice separations in Leonis which I can use as a benchmark to improve on if conditions allow.
