About this image

Just after sunrise over Sinus Iridum is a favourite time to image this area. The low Sun brings out the wrinkle ridges across the diameter of Iridum, and lights up the Jura mountains. Good seeing revealed plenty of detail in Helicon and LeVerrier on Mare Imbrium.
