About this image

I had been in the obs, but cloud finished the image sequence so I packed up. While analysing the images i noted a RED alert from AuroraWatch UK. By this time it was 2330 and the cloud was dispersing. There was no visible indication in the sky, but the camera told a very different story. I thought i had pointed my red headlight into the lens, but no, it was an aurora. The view is to the North, with LP from Banbury 9 miles away.

All red and eventually extending to overhead in images. The Shetland web cam 3 was a rage of green.
