‘Messenger’ No. 10 published

The June issue (No. 10) of Messenger, the Mercury and Venus section newsletter is available online for members to download.

Highlights include a paper on imaging techniques for observing Mercury’s sodium tail and observations of the current elongation of Venus.

There is also a report on the wave phenomenon (also known as the cloud discontinuity), which can be observed on Venus with infrared imaging. Section Director Paul Abel also discusses this phenomenon on a post on the Forum, and calls for further observations.
