the CfDS has recently updated and published its handbook “Blinded by the Light?” Price for a hard copy is £2 to BAA members plus £1.64 postage, obtainable via the enquiries page: https://britastro.org/dark-skies/enquiries.php

The handbook contains useful information concerning the various impacts of light pollution, e.g. astronomical, environmental and societal, presents a set of principles to be used when assessing lighting schemes and a simple method for assessing the local quality of the night sky. It also contains some rather striking artwork.
