This bright and active aurora started to ‘flame’ at 23.55 UT (13th March 2022) so decided to have a go at filming it live. Filmed at 24 frames per second and ISO 25600 – as high as it would go on my Fuji XT4. It’s a bit noisy but not bad really. The calling birds are Oystercatchers – they spend the winter on the coast but many travel inland in the spring to nest on farmland, moorland and sometimes buildings too.
