Website downtime

Apologies for the website downtime this afternoon.

A software update failed, rendering the site unusable. I had to revert the site to a backup I made at 2.50pm today. There’s a possibility some people may have lost their work if they posted to the site between 2.50pm and 4.30pm today.

I’m hoping that all is now back to normal.

It happens.  Several times to me in my career as a sysadmin.  Thankfully you know the golden rule: always have a backup available for when (not if) things go pear shaped, as they will do occasionally.
