Other fora which show similar symptoms generally find that they are being hit by bots in their thousands trying to scrape their entire content, allegedly for AI training purposes. Trying to stop them often turns into a game of whack-a-mole, though black listing IP addresses which make more than a certain number of accesses in a specified period can be very effective. The latter requires that software is in place, which can be tricky if no-one has thought about its provision beforehand.

Web site looks normal now except that images in the Gallery aren’t visible. If it is AI looking at the site it might actually learn something interesting…!

Update 2.40pm: Also, I can only see updates I’ve posted to the forum if I’m logged in. They aren’t visible once I log out…!!!.

I notice when uploading a new image, it shows in the gallery but not on the original page used to provide the details.
Have the Martians arrived at last?
