I am the Deep Sky Section director, and also a past President of the Association. Previously I was mostly a visual observer, but eye problems recently have moved me to more electronic means. I'm attracted to EAA (Electronically Assisted Astronomy) which has some of the good stuff about visual observing, but with the aid of results being shown on screen.
