I’m looking forward to seeing many of you at the Christmas Meeting in a week’s time. For those that can’t make it we will again be live streaming courtesy of the IoP. The link to the livestream is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8a_BsPN5uw.

Thanks to Nick and the IoP for this. Really enjoying the Plato talk as a break from DIY ….

Thanks all for the feedback. I think it mostly worked well. With the support of the IoP we hope to be able to do this for all our London meetings from now on.

Very good pair of talks plus an entertaining Sky Notes. I got the distinct impression that both speakers gained some valuable feedback and insights from the questions and discussion at the end of their talks.

    Excellent meeting.

Missed last years stream so I was looking forward to this one and wasn’t disappointed.

At the end of the first lecture I even twitched my arms as I went to join in with the applause before I stopped myself when I realised I wasn’t actually there.

Very good news that all the BAA meetings will be streamed.

Well done to every one involved.

The two lectures and the Sky Notes were excellent presentations and the location is most convenient, adjacent to Kings Cross station.
One constructive comment – the bright spotlights directed both onto the audience and the display screens detracted somewhat from my enjoyment of the talks, washing out some of the rich colours in the graphics and diluting the fine details in members’ astro images. The YouTube recording is clearer in this respect.
    Clear skies,
         Alex.

I would have to agree with your comments regarding the lighting and would have preffered them to be dimmed during the presentations.

I only recently joined the BAA a few months ago and this was the first meeting that I have attended. Have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, all speakers were excellent. Looking forward to attending more events when I can make it up to London. Thanks to all involved in the organisation of the day.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll speak with the AV people at the IoP and will try to improve this for future meetings.
