ParticipantHi guys
Just received the paperwork including breakdown of candidates for the 2018/2019 council session. Not sure if it’s a printing anomaly or implies some aspect of the candidates standing but on the sheet I have giving information about the individual candidates and their careers/Astro lives there are 4 candidates namely Callum Potter,Paul Abel,David Arditti and Alan Lorraine who’s information is given in a much lighter font than the rest?. The candidates name is in the same dark font as everything else but not their info. Like I say most probably a printing thing but if anyone could clarify please?.
thanks
Steve

KeymasterHi Steve,
I have checked into this. It is either some kind of printing or file preparation anomaly. There is no meaning to the lighter or darker text for different candidates.
Best wishes,
Andy

ParticipantWhilst on the topic of elections, I’ve cast my vote electronically and found it very easy. Well done to Council for introducing e-voting to the BAA. A long time coming, but I hope it’s here to stay. I also hope that the numbers of votes cast will rise because of this innovation!

ParticipantYes I intend to vote online, seems easy enough . I was going to renew my subs digitally too but didn have that option maybe it needs setting up for individuals by the office?.

KeymasterAnyone switching to a digital subscription needs to let the BAA Office know in advance of their renewal. We might be able to add this functionality to web based renewals one day, but there is a lot that needs to happen behind the scenes to make that possible.
Of course e-voting is available to all members, digital and non-digital, as long as we hold an up to date email address.

ParticipantVoting reasonably straightforward though I find it tricky to switch back and forth between voting tab and info tab compared to paper options. It’s much harder when there is a large number to choose from.
