Images not shown by Chrome

OBSERVATIONS: I have a problem that thumbnails are shown, but the main image is not – although the observation details are present.
Tried on W10 and W11. Chrome was updated in the last day or so.
Hope a fix or suggestion may be forthcoming ?

There seem to be a couple of residual problems following the steps taken to resolve the recent performance problem.

This problem also occurs on Safari, so probably not browser specific.

So was I right? Bots scraping the entire site?

Trying to suck out thousands of large files would undoubtedly put a strain on both the server and its bandwidth to the interweb thingy.

Hi Paul,

yes, scrapping bots were the problem – we’ve installed some blocking software.

Some consequent config changes are causing the image display problem, which we are looking into the best solution for.

Apologies for the time it took to fix these issues.

There were some changes to the configuration of the BAA web server associated with the new bot-blocking software, which broke the image gallery.

I think it should now be completely fixed and back to normal. Please let us know if you’re still having issues.
