Johan Warell (52 cm refl., Sweden) has sent images from July 28-29 showing signs of possible dust activity over Chryse, located at the time at the morning limb. This region showed frequent activity in the last few oppositions, and in 2020 one such event grew to become a large regional storm. The region is now being lost in morning twilight to European observers but we hope it can be recovered from elsewhere! Observations gratefully received.
I captured Mars at July 30,2022 under poor seeing conditions. Here two examples. Although Chryse is still visible, the dust has not extended very much towards Sinus Meridian.
