Ade, Thanks for the alert. I observed the occultation through thin cloud with a telescope (C11). It was at a convenient time after supper, and the Moon was “rising” over the house. The event was recorded by video, and the passing cloud illuminated by the Moon was quite bright to the camera. I would say without hesitation that the eye is a better device, but having a recording allows some benefit from the timing perspective or further analysis. I do enjoy a good naked eye or binocular event.
I waited for kappa, but the altitude was too low for me and the cloud thicker –
