The Norman Lockyer Observatory is currently owned by East Devon District Council and leased by the Norman Lockyer Observatory Society.
However, with financial constraints many district councils are suffering, EDDC has proposed to offer a Community Asset Transfer to NLOS.
We are currently in negotiations but if we succeed NLO will then own the freehold of the site and be responsible for all repairs and maintenance
of our three listed observatory domes. Although this will increase our running costs we see this as a great opportunity and will secure the NLO
    for posterity.

Exciting news! Best of luck with securing the future of the NLO.
