    Thanks to both of you kind gents,

    the exposure was roughly 180mins in 10 min subs worth of Ha and the S2 was 150mins in 5 min subs  and yes it was taken with the GT81

    next step is automate the filter wheel, best get saving for an SX one I think!

    hi peter,

    thanks for that will bear it in mind, im looking at a S/H 460EXM as its a comprimise between chip size and filter size, i’d prefer the 1.25″ to be honest due to the cost of the 2″ filters!

    forgot to attach them… dont know if i like that process of the crescent though (to me everthing looks OK except NGC6888, looks a bit fake to me, if you guys could let me know that’d be great)

    Hi Jeremy, 

    Yes the ED80 is great for imaging but it really isnt great for observational and i want to do a bit of that when guiding isnt going my way, spend a couple of hours admiring our universe. The 130 will just have that extra light gathering power that i need. since getting rid of my 8″ ive wanted another observational scope
