Hello Paul, the App update has been issued, this also updates the onboard O.S. & Kouda, Masaki has published an updated guide to ver 2.1.0, where it talks about imaging Alberio which I must admit I will try skies permitting – When photographing the double star Albireo in “Stargazing Mode,”
you can see that it is a double star in the preview, but with a 10-second
exposure you cannot see. By setting the camera to “Lunar Mode” and
adjusting the gain and exposure time, you can see that it is a double star
at the appropriate brightness. Also, if you zoom in at “x4” you can see
that it has beautiful colours like sapphire and topaz.
To operate, first align the target star using SkyAtlas, then exit the
mode after it is in “Stargazing Mode”, then set it to “Lunar Mode” and
    “Skip Goto”.

I have attached the PDF hope it helps.

    Diane.

    Afternoon All,

I have just found out V2.01 is out –

V2.1 supports what ZWO used to call mosaic now calls it framing mode. Available for iOS now, Not there for Android but should be very soon.

    Diane.

Paul I have also imaged Albero, when at a recent outreach event, this is a jpeg generated by the s50 from a stack of 103 10sec frames, I did have the dew heater active & a dew shield fitted to the front of the s50.

When connecting to USB 3 there is a faster connection / transfer rate between the S50 & the P.C. / Laptop, also you can save all fits files from within the S50 app settings. go to “Advanced Features” then select “Save Each Frame”.

Like everybody I was deeply saddened to learn of Bob’s death, we had a chat or two at Winchester and Bob was in good spirits, he will be missed but not forgotten
