As with other folks’ comments, I keep getting returned to my own page when I try to “like” someone else’s image. Not all the time, but I don’t seem able to get around it.
I would also question the claims that gravity bends light, and black holes are super-dense regions of space. But this – as we used to say when I were a lad – is what we find…
Such sad news. A lovely man – and an entertaining magician! He once lent me a book on Chas. Piazzi Smyth, when he had never seen me before (I did return it!). Had a brief discussion with him about Wolf-Rayet stars, which I fondly recall. Another good astronomer gone too soon.
What a tremendous achievement by this group of dedicated workers. Not least my old mate Alex Pratt – superb work there old son – but I loudly applaud them all!
