Because trains are not running again weekends, I viewed on line.

Volume, wavered from soft to loud.

Picture, close ups of speakers appeared washed out by bright lights, other views ok.

I enjoyed the meeting, thank you for live streaming.

    Bill,

‘The power of spectroscopy’ your right about that, 85% of what we know about the Universe comes through dispersing the light of an object through a spectroscope !

So, keep up the good work.

    Kevin,

I have looked at your kit on your ‘comminity page’ very impressive.

How do you switch the calib and flat lamps on and off.

Shelyak have a gadget for this.

It is possible to operate robitically I only heard of one instance of this in spectro.

PRISM and ACP software have robotic functions, which will enable you to create an observing plan.

    Tony,

Try this, I and many have used him and OK.

Not sure if he repairs astro cameras but worth an enquiry.

    David,

While we are all fallible, your right it depends on how the question is worded.

When I was studying at the OU, this is something we had to understand and master, in order to get good scores on tutor marked assignments and exams.

I agree its a very interesting question, which has only recently been researched and answered correctly.

We have all learned something new !

On a long term average which of the 3 planets is most often closer to Earth ?

As Steve and David have given the correct answer Mercury, it would be pointless leaving it till next week.

Follow the link on David’s post for more a more detailed explanation.

    Well done everybody who responded.
