Great work Steve and all the gang at HAG. Lets keep it up
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantThanks for sharing this Denis
Fascinating reading. There is something, I find, incredible about Victorian instruments and observatories and I was unaware of this one
Many Thanks
Dave
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantYour welcome Gary π
Know what you mean about painting it black, helps with the variable work but must admit that the Moon is my first Love π
Regards
Dave
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantMany Thanks Richard

David Scanlan, FRASParticipantThanks for these uploads Martin
They are a great visual record of Patrick and many notable BAA members of the past
Enjoying them greatly π
Dave
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantHi
Are council members reimbursed for their travel expenses?
Is there a minimum time one can be a member of the BAA before seeking appointment to the council?
Regards
Dave
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantGreat Image…well done π
Regards
Dave
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantHi Martin
Please keep these coming π
They are a great record of the BAA’s meeting, people and whats more an excellent addition to the ever growing collection of Moore memorablia
Thank You
Dave
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantMartin
Many thanks for uploading this. Did make me smile and it’s great to hear the song after reading so much about it in It came from outer space wearing an RAF Blazer
Another great video/audio clip to add to the ever increasing Moore archives
Thanks once again π
Regards
Dave
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantGood to see a piece about Dave on the news
His images have always impressed me and its nice to see him and his observatory on the big screen
Well done Dave
Regards
Dave
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantIve just had a listen to it and Martin Mobberley was very right in his statement of 50% fact and 50% fiction
All in all though a really rather good and entertaining piece which I would suggestm, to all who are Moore fans, take the 45 minutes and have a listen
Rather enjoyed it π
Dave
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantSounds like a worth while watch π
Thanks for the heads up Martin
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantFantastic Video of a great comet hunter π
Good to see someone achieving so much with just modest equipment
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantA great loss but happy to see Kathleen led a long and very fulfilled life
RIP Dame Ollerenshaw
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantWas a good night here in Hampshire
Total of 79 meteors detected over a 3 hour period
Dave
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantThats a great achievement and a glowing testimony to the dedication of the variable star observers of the BAA, past and present
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantAh ok Andy Many Thanks
Ill see what I can submit π
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantNo ideas as such but Mr Tombaugh or pluto would get my vote….after all not only did Pluto change the solar system its declassification from being a planet changed the solar system for a second time and thats never been done in the history of astronomy so marking its 85th anniversary would be justified indeed
Regards
David Scanlan
David Scanlan, FRASParticipantHi Gary
Yes ill dare say youll be seeing some observations from myself π I already a collection here, most not on the BAA prgramme, which Ill happily submit if any use?
Yes we met at a VS meeting about three years ago now when you came to the Hampshire Astronomical Groups observatory in Clanfield
You will be seeing me at meetings….I guarantee it π
Regards
Dave
